Netflix approached Omar Sy with the proposal of centralizing a show around what he wanted, he said he wanted a French James Bond esc show 

Omar Sy comes from a working class family with his parents being from Africa. He first started out by being a comedian before his friends that were directors got him into an acting career.

-Revenge for the framing of his father

-Highlights Lupin as a gentleman burglar/ Robin hood character
